AN MTY coal train returns back through Matewan for a refill via one of the Hatfield Tunnels. These two tunnels get their namesake from the the Hatfield family of the famous Hatfield & McCoy feud.

17M had an 8 engine consist today but I could only get 5 of them in the photo. 17M usually returns power in big consists on Sunday. I assume the upcoming Easter holiday has them thinking ahead.
The Glen Alum Tunnel doubles as a drive thru engine wash today. Recent storms has soaked the hills with rain water causing the water to seep out and run over the tunnel portal.
