| 723 rattles into Maitland as the sun sets. Sadly the 620/720 sets have now been withdrawn, the decision was made unexpectedly on Friday June 1st 2007 when the internal gas heaters were found to not meet the Australian standards. The last run was on Saturday June 2nd 2007 departing Dungog at 2:29pm and arriving at Newcastle at 4:38pm. These railcars were 46 years old and were the oldest in the CityRail fleet. |
