In 1969, Pacific Locomotive Assn. tried to repeat the "Last Run of An ALCO PA" they had run the previous year. If no PA was available, they then promised ATSF's lone E8. Well no PA and no E8 but instead they got an F7A and B unit. Refunds were offered and I have no idea how many asked for one, but in retrospect what would most of us give to ride this trip today. It was between Richmond and Riverbank.
