| One of the last unique features of Conrail - the Block Operator - made it into the early Norfolk Southern days as CTC mainline put them out of a job. In 1997 the NS acquisition of this route wasn't even in the works and operator Jim Largent prepares to hand off two sets of orders - one to the engineer and the second to the awaiting conductor one car back. |
