Remarks & Notes

The 12.09 London Waterloo to Paris Nord streaks past lorries parked on the M20 motorway during "Operation Stack". This occurs when cross-channel traffic is disrupted due to rough seas or strikes etc. On this day I estimate there were 24 miles of trucks waiting. How we wish just some of this traffic was going by freight train through the tunnel.
