Remarks & Notes

A trio of Santa Fe SD45s (the third is an SD45-2) begin the decsent down Cajon Pass on December 26, 1972. The new, lower alignment of Summit is in use (although the car set-out is not yet ballasted), and the second engine is in the new "Yellow Warbonnet" scheme.
