| At one time, Blue Canon was a crew change point on SP's Donner Pass line. The original compound Mallet's could take as long as 12 hours to reach here from Roseville.
Today, other than the large horse shoe curve, not much remains except a few homes as Amtrak's San Francisco Zephyr passes thru in March of 1975 |
