I'm not sure there are many experiences more magical than standing in the middle of the desert, miles from anyone and anything, at sunset. In this photo, the sun is minutes from dipping below the horizon as a hotshot BNSF stack train races eastward through the Mojave Desert on The Transcon, the smoke from its DPUs accented by the golden light just above the small dune just behind the lead units.
