| The daily Beijing-train has just left Tibet capitol Lhasa on its 4.064 km (2.540 miles) and 47 hour journey. The highest point on the new Qinghai-Tibet railway is at 5.072 m (16.640 feet) - a new world record. The locomotives of type C38AChe are built by General Electric, Pennsylvania, USA |
