| On 7 June 2007 a Piketberg bound coal train derailed at Biesiesfontein farm just north of Moorreesburg after floods caused the roadbed to subside. All five crew members were injured, the driver's assistant serious enough to necessitate airlifting to hospital. Here the lead loco of the four unit consist is lying on its side in the mud. |
