| The Conrail local sits by Madison Avenue waiting to begin its trek back down to the yard in North Bergen. The crew has probably gone for coffee at the sporadically open Dumont Crystal Diner out of frame to the right. The N9 Transfer Caboose was a PC continuation of the NYC N-6A class built on 40' boxcar frames. The SW8 is still on home rails, having started life with the New York Central. The train is sitting at the platform of the razed depot. |
