Coming out of its own GE haze of smoke, the Selkirk to Croxton manifest passes the unseen loyal Haworth railfans who gathered at the site of the razed NYC depot for years. Great guys; but the best of them was an older gentleman named Tony Vigiano. Tony was a retired Atlantic-Richfield gas station owner who drove a gold Buick, told amazing stories, and loved trains. He'd always have a stoagie in his mouth and a notepad in his hand, on which he'd scribbled the engine numbers illegibly. After every train, he'd ask you, "did you get all the numbers?"
