| A rare visitor to this out-of-the-way corner of the CN system, GP40R 3117 whistles for the Council St. N.E. crossing in Cedar Rapids on the Iowa Division's 'Louisa Sub.' These weedy rails are the last remnant of the Milwaukee Road's Chicago-to-Omaha double track mainline in eastern Iowa. Sadly, this once-busy line has been reduced to a mile-long industrial spur serving a handful of customers. |
