In April of 2004, recreation of the Western Pacific California Zephyr operated from the Bay Area to Reno, Nevada. The locomotive was, in reality, an ex-VIA F9 wearing make up. An excursion was operated from Reno to Colfax and is seen emerging from Shed 10 onto Butte Canyon trestle.
