Former trackbed of Santa Fe's Texas Chief. In 1964, I sat in Ms. McMillan's 5th period Plane Geometry class at Woodrow Wilson High, only a quarter-mile from this spot. I would see the Chief roar across Glasgow St. at 1:13 each afternoon. Sometime in the 70's, the track was ripped up, but interestingly, the rails across Glasgow were allowed to remain in the asphalt.
