| One of Conrail Shared Assets Operations' more unique pieces of equipment is a switching platform. These units are used in reverse moves on local freights and don't offer much in the way of protection for the crew. This train is reversing back to Browns Yard on the Sayreville Running Track, passing the site of the former Raritan River Railroad Freight Station. The two crew members on the switching platform communicate via radio with the engineer in the locomotive pushing the train. |
