The handsome Royal Scot class no. 6115 Scots Guardsman at New Mills in November 1978 on its second main line special following restoration. Apparently, because the mechanical condition of the locomotive was not top-notch, British Rail only ever allowed it to make two main line runs. It has not run on the main line since, but is now under restoration at Carnforth with a view to a return to the main line.
