| Two very interesting locos parked at Tinsley MPD back in 1980. Each of these Class 13 locos comprised a pair of Class 08 shunters (switchers). To be able to cope with the heavy loads at Tinsley yard hump, three of these locos were created by permanently coupling together two 08s and removing the cab from one of them to create "dual" locos with "master" and "slave" components. Sadly, they were scrapped years ago and the depot is now closed and demolished and the yard closed. |
