Amtrak's "The Patriot" makes a station stop at Penn Station Newark. I had just rode this train from Penn Station New York. It began its run at Boston at 9:30a, changed to an electric motor at New Heaven at 12:35p, was here at Newark at 3:00p, and was to reach DC at 6:40p. E60CH #958 was delivered 11/75 to Amtrak. It later went to NJ Transit 8/83 when Amtrak became disillusioned with the big GEs. Most of these units were scrapped, but this one is currently stored in New Jersey - being saved for a future New Jersey Transportation Museum.
