Remarks & Notes

A Southern Pacific westbound, with U33C 8686 in the lead, passes through Soledad Canyon on its way out of the Los Angeles area on July 14, 1973. Engine 8686 was wrecked beyond repair near Los Angeles in May 1978. As they sat in the siding, this occurred: Call 9-1-1!
