| IC&E employee special climbs the hill at 'Red Barn' nearing Mt. Carroll headed east on the old Milwaukee Road "D&I" subdivision. Red Barn was a timetable location dating from the Milwaukee Road days, located at the top of the 5-mile grade climbing out of the Mississippi River valley, and is still known as such today. |
