| A Mothers Day family outing in our '50 Olds Rocket 88 took us over the US-44 Mid-Hudson bridge where I photographed a freight train crossing the Poughkeepsie-Highland High Bridge while barge traffic maneuvered below. Rail traffic ended May 8, 1974. Plans are to reopen the bridge as a pedestrian route in 2009. |
