| Recent years have seen the very welcome return to steam of a variety of pre-grouping (i.e. before 1923) heavy freight locomotives. None more so than the magnificent Darlington-built 'Q6' 0-8-0 from 1918. Now in her 90th year, she has proved to be a popular and highly capable addition to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway fleet. Here she is departing from Goathland through the photogenic 'S' curves, the beautiful moors provide a delightful backdrop. |
