Remarks & Notes

The snow has all but melted into the lineside meadows offering an opportunity for reflections of a passing train. Former London Midland & Scottish Railway 'Black 5' No.45212 was in her 70th year having been built in 1935 by Armstrong Whitworth of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Outside contractors often augmented production by LMS company workshops in order to fulfil orders of large classes like the Black 5's.
