This Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway 'Pug' built by the company's Horwich works in 1901, sits neatly on the turntable at Keighley. These useful tanks were used wherever limited clearances or tight curves dictated a small but reasonably powerful engine. Many were used in docks or street-running and examples survived into the mid-1960's. Two have survived from a class once numbering sixty.
