| Standing in this spot today you'd see . . . very little! The MPD has long been razed to the ground replaced by silver birch saplings that obscure any view of the flat hinterland beyond. Once a significant railway centre with an interesting role in the late 19th century 'railway races' saga, Normanton has returned to being a nondescript small West Yorkshire town with little to commend it. |
