Its a long and tough walk to Waumbek Tank, one not likely made by most railfans, but a worth while one at that, if only for the expernce to see steam powered trains meet on a mountain grade. Mt Washington Cog number 10 countinues up hill after taking on water at Waumbek tank. Water for the tank is provided by local springs.
