| The gigantic cutting to the east of Lindong is the backdrop to westbound QJ 6828. She is hauling a wonderfully colourful mixed train and the driver has just eased off the regulator as 6828 will take water in the station (about 1/2 mile behind the camera). The black exhaust drifts away in the light breeze. Sandy soil reflects the dazzling mid-day sun and even colour negative film struggled to cope with the extremes of light and shade. |
