Three former WP F units gather and pose at the Portola Railroad Museum in 1994 (now Western Pacific RR Museum). The 913 and 921-D are two of the “Fab 4”. The Fab 4 were the last four WP F units and held down freight assignments on the WP in the late 70’s. All still exist today in 2008. F7A #913 resides at the California State Railroad Museum and F7A #921-D is owned by the Feather River Rail Society and resides at the Western Pacific RR Museum. FP7 #805-A is also owned by the Feather River Rail Society (FRRS) and resides at the Western Pacific RR Museum. It ran on the WP California Zephyr, then WP freight, traded to GE in 1972, ran on the WAG and LNWR before being acquired by the FRRS in the late 80’s. The 805-A is the last WP California Zephyr locomotive in existence.
