Engineer Russ scans the track for unwary pedestrians as he backs Climax #6 and a 5-car consist to the platform for the first excursion of the day. Astute observers will note that the locomotive's bunker is stacked with cord wood. All of the steamers at the White Mountain Central are wood burners.
