| Before ordering rebuilt SD40s for its mainline trains, NSM tested GEs from LRC and DM&IR SD40-3s. Here a trio of leased GEs with an SF30C leading work westbound empties on a warm Halloween afternoon in 1998. These GES were working on neighboring LTVSMC at the time. |
