Valley Railroad Mikado #40 shows off her freshly painted pinstripes as she pulls a late afternoon excursion train north toward Deep River. When she was placed back in service in 2007, after years of firebox work, she wore only her number on the cab and the railroad logo on her tender. A recent trip to the paint shop completed the detailing, leaving her looking more like her sister, Consolidation #97.
