Weighing in at 49 tons, White Mountain Central's Baldwin #5 is the second most powerful locomotive on the line. She was built in 1901 and spent her whole working life as a logging engine on the nearby East Branch and Lincoln. Acquired by the folks at Clark's Trading Post, she is maintained in operating condition and runs on special occasions. In this photo, Engineer Rick and Fireman Al take a small group of railfans for a late afternoon cab ride during the railroad's recent 50th anniversary celebration.
