Peak fall color at The Cog. Peak fall colors are strongly in evidence as MWRy #10 "Kroflite" takes on the 21% grade at Cold Spring Hill...the first leg of the journey to the summit of Mt. Washington. Just ahead, #3 "Agiocochook" pushes toward Waumbek Tank and a welcome drink of water. During the busy fall season, the MWRy often sends multiple sections up the mountain each hour. This day, EVERY hourly departure consisted of 2 trains.
