| On this Fall morning, a westbound empty sulfur train suffered engine trouble east of town. To rectify the problem, the engines from the train behind them coupled onto the rear and pushed them over Afton Mountain. Here the train is seen passing a group of BBRR MOW workers and the former Southern Passenger Station. It is definitely an unusual sighting to see pusher locomotives used in Charlottesville! |
