Northbound manifest from Mobile; this was a usual consist on the daily morning manifest from Mobile to Birmingham. It was refreshing to take a break from my consulting duties in Brewton, which consisted of ultrasonic inspection of the belly diameter welds on dual diameter tank cars at Frit Railcar, just south of this photo. As in get in the cleaned out tanks in the July heat in the dark and sweat your a## off looking at a CRT screen for 8 hrs/day.
