| The mines in the Yuanbaoshan area were served by a well-maintained fleet of 'JS' class 2-8-2's. Clear skies, still air and snowfall meant that conditions were perfect to capture moments like this, a train of empties heading for the yards at Xizhan. Lineside birch trees seem to lean with the passing of the train. The passing of steam at Yuanbaoshan was to come soon afterward. |
