With plenty of power on the point, UP's daily Roper to North Platte manifest crosses over from main #2 to main #1 at CP RG745, Second South in Salt Lake City. All of the trackage through Grant Tower was recently rebuilt, offering improved flexibility, more gradual curvature, and a track speed more than double that of the former alignment.
