| For the third year running the marathon 'Great Britain' railtour has taken steam from one end of the UK to the other. 3-cylinder 'Scots Guardsman' leans to the curve on the 1.5% gradient to Beattock Summit, bound for Glasgow. London-Glasgow 'Pendolino' EMUs lean to these curves at 95mph, 46115 is making a steady 25 or thereabouts, after slipping on wet rails further down the hill. |
