| BNSF hustles eastbound in early morning, approaching Walnut Canyon with traces of snow lingering in the shade. Walnut Canyon is the site of an obscure but lovely Sinagua Indian pubelo ruins abandoned around 1450 AD. Trains are noticeably shorter and fewer on even this busy transcon. |
