The Legend. This isn't one of those faux, Wheeling & Lake Erie ex-Rio Grande units. Nope, this is the real deal, untarnished except for the scars of time. DRGW 5371 came into existence in 1975 and stayed that way until its retirement, never once running as a Union Pacific unit. This was the last unpatched Rio Grande unit to ever run the rails, and from what I understand, it's slated to be preserved by the UP. A true legend and a must-see if you're ever in the area!
