| The railfan gods answered yesterday with a short lived sucker hole of sun just as SP 4449 passed under one of the old wooden bridges just east of Hawley. Most of MN had heavy cloud cover for most of the day. About an hour prior at Dilworth we were in a major down pour along with some pea size hail.
Southern Pacific 4449 is the only surviving example of Southern Pacific Railroad's GS-4 class of steam locomotives. |
