| In the days of the old South African Railways (SAR), trains from the south headed for Coligny and Lichtenburg would have to reverse direction at Welverdiend. A new cut-off built by Spoornet about 6 years ago means this is no longer necessary. Class 6E1's E1330 and E1476 are seen branching off the main line at Andrea junction with their train of cement empties headed for Coligny. The third locomotive (E1416) is dead in tow. |
