| One of the SNCF 'Monocabine' Bo-Bo electrics, now all withdrawn, has just passed the closed station at Stambach with a northbound freight train on the Strasbourg to Metz main line. It is running through the Vosges hills beside the Marne-Rhein Canal. This line was part of the Alsace-Lorraine Railway and came under German control hence the right-hand running still adheared to in Eastern France. |
