| SP 4449 blast out of the west portal at Tunnel City, Wisconsin on the inbound trip to Minneapolis. Famously, in 1975 when the American Freedom Train came through here the engine was working hard, and when it entered the tunnel it blasted much of the accumulated soot and grime off the roof which rained down onto the train. Doyle didn't work her as hard this time! |
