UP 4853 was involved in collision with semi-truck trailer loaded with grass seed at Halsey, Oregon on 2009-August-25. UP 3919 and UP 1240 were also involved and received minor damage. Hours after the incident, the three locomotives were moved north to Albany yard for further inspections. About a week later, 3919 and 1240 were taken north to Albina. The 4853 sat in Albany until September 22, 2009. It returned to active service on October 2 when it was assigned to the MPDPW, and returned to Albany!
