A northbound BNSF manifest rolls downgrade out of Palmer Lake with a couple of visitors to the front range, one of which remains in unusually brilliant blue. The paint on Conrail's C40-8Ws was known to quickly fade, but this one's paint has stood the test of time. When I first saw it round the bend with my naked eye, I thought it was UP's MP Heritage unit!
