Some 444 combined years of South African railway history on the move! Back in 1997, two Class 7 Locomotives (built 1896 and 1901) head a Steam & Safaris (U.K.) charter train of vintage coaches (built 1909, 1932, 1903 respectively) out of Oudtshoorn.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
