Remarks & Notes

Akron, IA is located in northwest Iowa right on the Iowa-South Dakota boarder. Here a small railroad own by a L. G. Everist, Inc., mainly moves ethanol and rock on their 90 mile ex-Milwaukee Road mainline. Today a D&I local rolls south towards Sioux City, IA with cars for the BNSF and CN.
