The return of the FURX SD40-2's, atleast for now. After sitting in Wichita Falls for over a year, they have been pulled from storage and are being forwarded to Northtown for set up. Many were load testing and idling when I was down here, not including this nine unit set that rolled in on the Galesburg-Northtown. Shoot these while you can, folks, next fall may not be as interesting.
There are times when many engines, cars or cabooses are concentrated in a location. Such sites are for storage, economic reasons, active power needs or for rebuilding. For others, wear and tear have brought their usefulness to and end.
